Police: Man Dressed As A Woman Attempts To Rob Bank In North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are searching for a suspect responsible for an attempted robbery at a Wells Fargo Bank in the Hartranft section of the city.
According to police, on March 28 at 9:32 a.m., a man entered the bank located on the 2800 block of North Broad Street and gave the teller a threatening demand note.
After failing to obtain any money from the teller, the suspect fled on foot and was last seen going south on Broad Street.
The suspect is a black male, who dresses as a female, in his early to mid thirties, 5'8" tall, wearing dark clothing with a red scarf on his head.
Police say if you see this man do not approach him, but contact 911 immediately.
