Police: Machete-Wielding Suspect Sought In Southwest Philadelphia Robbery
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect who robbed a 37-year-old man and struck him with a machete.
At 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning, police say the victim and a witness were walking on the 6000 block of Woodland Avenue when the suspect driving a black, four-door sedan pulled next to them demanding money.

When the victim refused the suspect's demands and kept walking, police say the suspect pulled away only to return several minutes later exiting his vehicle holding a large black machete in his hand.
When the victim and the witness attempted to flee, police say the suspect chased after them, allegedly striking the victim in the head and hand with the machete causing lacerations and bruising.
The suspect is described as an Asian male, 30-years-of-age, 5'7″, medium build, wearing a baseball hat, light green/yellow shirt and dark colored shorts with stripes.
