Police Seek Help In Solving Triple Murder At West Philadelphia Grocery Store

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police issued a plea for the public's help on Sunday in solving a triple homicide at a neighborhood convenience store, in September. They say the trail has gone cold on two men who opened fire during a robbery at Lorena's Grocery Store in West Philadelphia.
Police were joined by families of the victims, including a tearful Jessica Nunez. She recalled how she and her sister were working in the front of the store on September 6 while their parents and aunt were in the back when two gunmen came in, demanded money, and then shot Porfirio Nunez, Johana 'Carmen' Nunez and Lina Sanchez, killing all three, though none of them resisted.
Police released surveillance video of the suspects and a 25-thousand dollar reward was offered, but Commissioner Charles Ramsey said police got no leads.
"It's doubtful that you come into a totally strange neighborhood to commit a crime like this," said Ramsey. "I find it very, very rare, and I've been in policing 40 years, that something happens and nobody knows anything."
But neighbors say the victims were loved in the community and they're as anxious as police to solve the crime.
Javish Sanchez's mother was among those killed.
"I'm in pain," said Javish. "And I came back to the store and the neighborhood to try to open the store back up, because you know I consider you all my second family."
