Police Look For Armed Suspects Who Stole Narcotics From Elkins Park Pharmacy
ELKINS PARK, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are searching for two suspects they say stole narcotics at gunpoint from Wellness First Pharmacy in Elkins Park Tuesday afternoon.
According to officials, the first suspect, described as a black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall entered the store on Township Line Road shortly after 1 p.m. wearing a gray hoodie with blue scrub buttons, a blue surgical mask and a stethoscope around his neck. He then displayed a silver long barreled revolver at two store employees and handed them a note that read "give narcotics" and "you won't get hurt."
Authorities say the second suspect, described as a black male, went into the store two minutes later, wearing an oversized jacket and carrying a red suitcase. The suspects loaded a large amount of prescription narcotics into the suitcase before exiting by the rear door. The suspects escaped in a silver Toyota Sienna which has since been located.
Police say no shots were fired during the incident and no injuries have been reported.
