Police: Kensington Death Not Linked To Serial Strangler

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Philadelphia police say a woman found dead in a rowhouse Christmas Eve does not appear to the victim of a serial strangler plaguing the city.

Police say 25-year-old Crystal Dawejko had not been strangled or physically attacked. Toxicology tests are underway to determine the cause of her death in the city's Kensington neighborhood.

A $37,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the so-called "Kensington Strangler."

Police say DNA links him to three fatal sexual assaults in the neighborhood rife with drugs and prostitution.

Three other women say they were sexually assaulted but survived.

Two of them report being choked into unconsciousness.

Police have a composite sketch and grainy surveillance photo of a possible suspect.
