Police Investigating Report Of Baby Thrown Off Train Bridge In Southwest Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the report that a couple threw a baby off a train bridge Friday.
The investigation is taking place at 68th Street and Kingsessing Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.

According to investigators, there was a report that a couple was seen throwing a baby off a train bridge and onto tracks below.
Police reached out to CSX and requested that they temporarily stop all trains, which they did.
Police searched the area and investigators said all that was found was a bundle of construction debris inside an empty car.
Investigators said no baby was found.
CSX was then allowed to resume normal operations.
Police find the eyewitness credible.
"We're hoping that this isn't what she saw but at this point we believe she saw what she saw and we think we have a child that is currently not accounted for at this point," said Philadelphia Police Lt. John Walker.
Police along with K-9 patrolled both the east and westbound tracks for about a mile.
Also two freight trains that passed under the 68th Street Bridge at Kingsessing Avenue were stopped and searched by authorities.
So far there is no sign of a baby.
"We talked to those two conductors with the assistance of CSX and they both say that as they're passing this bridge they do see a male and a female on the overhead bridge," said Lt. Walker.
Police right now are hoping the couple contacts them immediately to perhaps clear up any kind of misunderstanding that might exist.
They are also asking anyone who might recognize the couple to contact them immediately.
The report remains under investigation.
