Police Investigating Area Home Invasion and Montco Jewelry Store Heist

BERWYN, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Tredyffrin Township (Chester County), Pa. are seeking the public's help in connection with their investigation of a home invasion and jewelry store robbery last week.
According to officials, four masked men wielding handguns tied up a husband and wife in their Berwyn home last Thursday night and then ransacked the house.
Two of the assailants then forced the man into his car and drove to the couple's business -- Shuler's Jewelers, in East Norriton (Montgomery County) -- where, police say, they made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars in jewelry.
Tredyffrin detective sergeant Todd Bereda says they have received some tips and they are pursuing every lead, including "hard drives for surveillance and digital still images, physical evidence such as duct tape and other items that were left at one or both scenes."
The assailants also stole the couple's car, a white Volkswagen Passat.
Bereda says this case is very similar to a recent incident in the Allentown-Bethlehem area in which armed bandits kidnapped a couple, holding one member at their house while forcing the other to their jewelry store.
