CINNAMINSON, N.J. (CBS) -- Investigators say an argument between two female acquaintances ended with a stabbing in the parking of a convenience store in Burlington County early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened at about 7:20 a.m. in the parking lot of the Wawa along Church Road in Cinnaminson.
According to investigators, the incident began when two females, 25-year-old Ashley Anderson of Pennsauken and 32-year-old Kartelina Holt of Sicklerville, became embroiled in a dispute and began fighting.
A male acquaintance broke up the fight, but police say Holt pulled out a box cutter while in the parking lot and stabbed the other woman approximately seven times.
Anderson was taken to Cooper University Hospital with various head and face lacerations.
Holt, who police say is an undocumented alien from Barbados, remained nearby, and was arrested and taken into custody by Cinnaminson police. She is charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and tampering with evidence.
The stabbing remains under police investigation.
