Police Investigate Possible Attempted Child Luring In Montgomery County
SKIPPACK, Pa. (CBS) - Authorities are investigating a possible attempted child luring in Montgomery County last week.
Pennsylvania State Police were called out to Reginald Lane in Skippack on August 2, after an 8-year-old boy reported that while he was playing baseball along the side of his house, an orange-colored vehicle stopped on the street in front of his home.
The driver, who reportedly was the only one in the vehicle, then yelled over at the boy and said, "Hey bud, can you come over here and help me find something?"
The boy ran into his home and told his mother what happened.
The vehicle, which is believed to be an older model Dodge Charger, left the area.
The boy described the driver as a white male, in his 50s or 60s, with long, gray hair. Two other witnesses in the neighborhood reported seeing the same vehicle, and provided a similar description of both the driver and vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 610-584-1250.
