Police Investigate Montco Salvation Army Robbery

MONTGOMERY, Twp., Pa. (CBS) - Police in Montgomery Township are investigating a robbery at a Salvation Army Thrift Shop just days before Christmas where two employees were accosted just moments after closing time.
Police say the two workers were walking to their cars in the back parking lot of the store on Route 309 Monday night when they were confronted by one, possibly two people.
Detective Ed Davies says police don't believe a weapon was displayed but it appears the employees were threatened:
"The two employees were pretty much forced inside -- verbally forced inside and there was a demand made for any money that was in the store at that point in time."
Davies says an undetermined amount of cash was taken from the store.
Police say the assailant who forced the employees back in the store is believed to be a woman and she went to great lengths to conceal herself.
Davies says they're working on some leads and checking with other departments to see if they have similar crimes.
