Police Interview Eyewitness To Latest Mayfair Tire Slashing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Residents in Northeast Philadelphia have had all they can take.
They want to see the person or people responsible for slashing their tires behind bars.
This time, 11 cars were targeted along the 4200 block of Aldine and Teesdale Streets in Mayfair.
Police confirmed they interviewed a man they are calling an eyewitness to this latest crime and Monday night, Eyewitness News spoke to his wife.
Yvonne Toledo said, "I just want it to stop before somebody gets hurt. I'm worried about my husband, her husband, her husband."
Toledo's husband, Dave, was asleep when we stopped by Monday evening. Yvonne explained to us Dave was with police from around 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. after 11 more cars were vandalized overnight. It happened while Dave Toledo was out with another man patrolling the neighborhood as block watch volunteers.
Yvonne said, "They did see somebody and that quick, the person was gone. The person was gone, it was like a phantom. The person must know the area."
We met Dave last month. The Toledos were among the dozens in attendance at a meeting hosted by police. They had a good reason to be there. The Toledos have been victimized multiple times.
Yvonne said, "11 times. Last night we were spared though."
But their neighbor, Renee Banford was not. The vandal or vandals got two of her tires.
Banford said, "Really really beyond upset."
So far, police say more than 90 cars in Mayfair have now been hit since last October and that's just in the area of 4000 block of Aldine and Teesdale Streets. Neighbors say they know police are doing their part. Their anger lies solely with the culprit.
Banford said, "I'd like to say, get a life if this is your way to get your kicks."
Yvonne added, "Just lock him up and throw away the key."
There is a $10,000 reward being offered for information leading to the capture and conviction of the individual(s) responsible. Of that, officials say $5,000 is available for information leading to just an arrest.
The reward is being administered by the Citizens Crime Commission. Anonymous tips can be submitted through the commission's tip line.
