Police In Lehigh County Seek Help Identifying Burned Body
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a woman whose scorched body was found along the side of a road in eastern Pennsylvania died of suffocation and burns.
Lehigh County coroner Scott Grim ruled the death a homicide after performing an autopsy Friday.
The corpse had been found a day earlier in a wooded area of Salisbury Township, just outside Allentown.
Officials are now looking for help in identifying the victim. Grim says the woman was between 20 and 40 years old and either white or Hispanic.
He says she had a neck tattoo bearing the letters "JAVI." She stood between 5 feet and 5 feet, 2 inches tall, and weighed between 150 and 175 pounds.
