Police Identify Body Discovered Along Berks County Bike Trail

CUMRU TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) - Police have identified the man whose body was found along a popular bike trail in Berks County Sunday morning.

Authorities say the body of 41-year-old Luis Salas-Ramos was found by a cyclist along Thun Trail, just off Route 724 a little before 7 a.m.

According to investigators, Salas-Ramos, who lived in the 400 block of Sout 4th Street in Reading, suffered several gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

Police say he was known to frequent two bars near his home - the Silver Dollar Bar and the Puerto Rican Club.

At the time of his death, Salas-Ramos was wearing a red sweatshirt with yellow lettering which reads, "Do I Look Like A People Person?" according to authorities.

The Berks County District Attorney's Office and Reading Police Department are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cumru Township Police at 610-777-9595.
