Police, FBI Searching For Suspect Responsible For Armed Robberies In Northeast Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are reaching out to the public for help identifying a suspect responsible for multiple robberies in the city.
The suspect (seen in above photo) is believed to have robbed both a Citizens Bank and the Acme grocery store at Red Lion Road near Academy Road on July 18th, 2012 and July 22, 2012.
During both robberies, the suspect threatened the teller with a gun and fled the area on foot after obtaining cash. He is described as a white male in his late 30s or 40s with close cut hair and is about 5'11" to 6'0" tall and about 200 lbs. He was wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a sleeveless t-shirt and shorts during both robberies.
Police say the suspect is armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about this subject is urged to call the Philadelphia Police Department or the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject's capture, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
