RIDLEY PARK, Pa. (CBS) -- Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck an 18-year-old Monday night. (See Previous Story)
Police recovered surveillance video from a nearby home that shows the moments before Christopher Brooks was hit by a pickup truck.
The 18-year-old was riding his bike on Chester Pike a little before 11 p.m. Monday night.
The truck involved was spotted turning left onto Sellers Road, heading south.
Folks living near the scene heard the crash from inside their home.
Christine O'Brien says,"I doubt he can even say that didn't know I hit a person. It was so loud."
Police talked to the other driver seen in the video, who said he was traveling the speed limit of 40 miles per hour when the pickup truck cut him off.
Investigators are now looking for possibly a silver or grey 1997-2003 Ford F-150 with damage to the front end.
But, the pickup could also be a Chevy or Toyota. They did find a piece of a bug deflector from the right front of the striking vehicle.
O'Brien adds, "Immoral, he needs to take responsibility for his actions."
Brooks had moved in with his uncle in Woodlyn a couple of months ago, after his mother passed, while his father incarcerated.
A neighbor, Leah Vanvladricken says,"He is really nice, always tries to make people laugh, jokes around all the time. He is really just a nice kid."
Leah Vanvladricken knows the family and says Brooks got the bike he was riding only a few days ago.
"Just a nice kid, I feel that it's awful what happened."
Brooks is in critical condition at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Officials are continuing to investigate in hopes of identifying the driver.
If you have any information, you are urged to call police.
