Police Van Overturns In Northeast Philadelphia Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A mother and her toddler son were in a car that struck a police van in Northeast Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Harbison Avenue at Cheltenham Avenue.
According to investigators, the police van was responding to a call when it was t-boned by a car driven by a 26-year-old female. The collision caused the police van to overturn.
The two officers were taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
The mother and her 14-month-old son were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment. Authorities say the mother suffered minor neck and back pain and her baby was not injured because he was strapped into his car seat.
The accident remains under investigation to determine who was at fault.
