Police Car Involved In Multi-Vehicle Crash On The Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) –- A police cruiser was one of six cars involved in a chain reaction crash on the Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at about 11 a.m. in the northbound outer lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard at Devereaux Avenue.
At least two people were loaded into a waiting ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital. One police officer suffered a knee injury. Other injuries were not immediately known.
The accident has shutdown the northbound outer lanes at the accident scene right before Devereaux Avenue.
The accident remains under investigation.
