Police Arrest Two Juveniles For Robbery In Wilmington
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS)--Two Wilmington juveniles were arrested after committing a robbery Saturday night.
On October 26th, at approximately 6:53 p.m., Wilmington police officers responded to a robbery complaint in the 1700 block of Lancaster Avenue.
An investigation revealed that a 48-year-old female victim was walking down the block when she was approached by a group of juveniles. The juveniles threatened the victim and demanded her to turn over her property. The victim complied and the juveniles fled the scene.
The officers reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby store and were able to develop suspect descriptions of a 16-year-old and 15-year-old.
Several hours later the officers observed the two juveniles at the corner of Pleasant and Harrison Streets wearing the same clothes as in the surveillance video.
The defendants were taken into custody and found to be in possession of the victim's cell phone.
The 16-year-old was committed to New Castle County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 secured bond.
The 15-year-old was committed to the New Castle County Detention Center in lieu of an $8,000 secured bond.
