By Kim Glovas
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of an innocent bystander who was caught in the cross fire of a gun battle in Grays Ferry (see related story).
28-year-old Shekinah Williams was taken into custody on Sunday in the 1600 block of South 16th Street without incident.
Williams faces charges in connection with the shooting of 45-year-old Clarice Douglas on April 20th.
Douglas had been standing in the middle of the block in the 15-hundred block of South Corlies Street, when police say Williams and another man, Hakeem Burley, began shooting at each other. Douglas was struck and died a short time later.
Burley was injured in the shootout and was immediately taken into custody while Williams ran away from the scene.
A $25,000 reward was posted for any information leading to Williams arrest.
