Police And Witnesses Speak Out After Teen Dies From Injuries Sustained During Drive-by

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police and witnesses to a drive-by shooting that ultimately killed a 16-year-old on Wednesday night are speaking out.
"I heard 8 gun shots," Lisa Tyler said. She then looked out the window to see a 16-year-old she knew shot multiple times and on the ground. "He kept trying to get up."
Yasine Harvey was shot at close range while leaving a corner store in West Philadelphia last night. He was visiting a friend's sick aunt at 62nd and Callowhill Streets and had just bought some food for her when a dark colored car with tinted windows drove by and someone inside opened fire.
Harvey was taken to the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition, and he died from his injuries around 5 a.m. this morning. Homicide detectives are now going door to door looking for video that might give them a better look at this car, which they now believe may have been involved in another shooting on Tuesday at Vine and 61st that left a 20-year-old in critical condition.
Police say Harvey was an innocent bystander. They believe the target was one of the friends in the group he was with.
"It's very sad, and we're hopeful we'll get to the bottom of this very soon," Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark said.
Family friends told Eyewitness News that Harvey was a good kid, and his family is devastated.
