Police: All Suspects In Custody In Fatal Old City Beating

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia Police arrested three suspects who are being held on charges related to the fatal beating of a recent college graduate trying to hail a cab in Philadelphia's historic district.

Kevin Kless, 23, was beaten to death in Philadelphia's historic district. Police say Kless had yelled at a cab near Independence Hall early Saturday morning when he got into a dispute with a group of men in another car.

Police have identified those men as 23-year-old Felix Carillo, 20-year-old Seven Ferguson and 19-year-old Kenneth Santiago, all from Philadelphia.

Authorities say the men may have thought Kless was yelling at them, sparking the confrontation. Kless died later from his injuries at Jefferson hospital.

According to sources, all three men in police custody have confessed to their involvement in the beating. Police also confirm there was never a fourth suspect, as previously thought.

Investigators initially reported the assailants got out of a maroon sedan, but now say that the car pictured is actually the vehicle the suspects were in.

All suspects will be charged with murder.
