Police: 9-Year-Old Abducted From Home, Raped In Feltonville

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia Police are looking for a sexual predator who they say made his way through the front door of a Feltonville home early Wednesday morning, walking naked into a bedroom where a 9-year-old girl was sleeping, abducting her and then raping her in the rear driveway of a home several blocks away.
Two siblings sleeping in the same room were not harmed.
Police say the rapist, who wore a mask covering his face, marched his victim through back alleys for several blocks, then apparently left her on the street following the vicious attack, which happened at 4:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of D street.
"By her account, at this point, he had picked up clothing that had been left on the first floor of the property, and had literally taken that clothing with him to the point where they had immediately entered an alley, and he dressed himself there," said Captain John Darby of the Philadelphia Police Department.
The dazed victim appeared 90 minutes later near her home and was rushed to the hospital where it was determined she had been raped.
"I can't even see myself going through this right now," said Edna Perez, the victim's grandmother.
"She's only nine years old. We can all see it, she's a baby, she's innocent, taken out of her bed," said Jessica Serrano, an aunt.
Exclusive CBS 3 video of the investigation, reveals officers and crime lab investigators, retrieving possible evidence from both the home and the scene of the attack.
Police describe the suspect as a black male with a think build, nearly 6 feet tall, wearing gray sweatpants and a black T-Shirt.
Until he is caught, police are warning neighbors to keep windows and doors locked, despite the warm weather.
