Police: 75-Year-Old Hunter Dies After Losing Footing, Shooting Himself With Crossbow In Berks County
ALSACE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A 75-year-old man has died in Berks County after an apparent hunting accident. Police say James Jacobs died after losing his footing and shooting himself with his crossbow.
It happened Wednesday in Alsace Township.
The weapon went through his abdomen and lung, according to police. Officials say Jacobs was hunting with his son at the time.
