Police: 5 Injured During Violent Weekend In Camden
CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities in southern New Jersey say five people have been injured during a violent weekend in Camden.
Four of the victims were shot in separate incidents that occurred late Friday and early Saturday, while the fifth was injured in a car crash that apparently was caused by one of the shootings.
Police say two men were critically injured in the crash, which occurred around 4 a.m. Saturday. Their vehicle struck the front steps of a church and then rolled over several times.
Officers soon arrived and pulled the men from the car. But they soon realized one of the men had been shot, though it's still not clear if he was the driver or passenger.
None of the wounds sustained by the three other shooting victims were considered life-threatening.
