Police: 2 Masked Suspects Rob Verizon Store
NEWARK, Del. (CBS)—Police are investigating after a Verizon Wireless store was robbed on New Year's Eve morning.
The incident occurred at the Verizon store located in Suburban Plaza Shopping Center.
Two masked black males, one armed with a handgun, entered the store and approached a 60-year-old male clerk, who was seated on a stool, and knocked him to the ground.
They then forced him into a closet in the back of the store.
The second suspect then approached a 55-year-old male clerk and forced him into a back store room and demanded that he turn over cell phones.
After confiscating an undisclosed number of phones, the second clerk was forced into the same closet with the other victim.
The suspects then fled out of the front of the store in an unknown direction.
Since their faces were concealed, the suspects are described only as two young black males wearing hooded sweatshirts.
Anyone with additional information about this incident should contact Det. Michael Watson at 302-366-7110 ext. 133.
