Police: 2 Bicyclists Wounded In Drive-By Shooting
ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) — Two men riding bicycles in a central New Jersey community were wounded in what authorities say was a drive-by shooting.
Asbury Park police say the shootings occurred around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the Monmouth County community.
The names of the wounded men were not disclosed, but authorities said both were shot in the leg. A 24-year-old Neptune man was shot three times, while a 25-year-old Lakewood man was shot twice.
Both men remained hospitalized Sunday in stable condition. Further details on their injuries were not disclosed.
A motive for the shooting remained under investigation Sunday. It also was not clear how many assailants may have been involved or what weapons were used.
