Podcast: Early Thoughts On The Flyers
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will return to preseason action on Friday night when they welcome the New York Islanders to the Center.
The Flyers are 2-1 in exhibition action after beating the Rangers last night in South Philadelphia, 5-3.
The team is adjusting to life under new head coach Dave Hakstol who is taking over for Craig Berube. This is a Flyers team that failed to make the playoffs a season ago, but it does have some top talent in players like Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek and Steve Mason.
KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer about what he has seen out of the Orange and Black so far.
