Plane Carrying President Bush From Philadelphia Diverted
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A private jet carrying former President George W. Bush from Philadelphia made an emergency landing overnight.
Mr. Bush was aboard a flight from Philadelphia to his home in Dallas following his appearance at the First Tee Greater Philadelphia fundraiser Saturday night. During the flight, crews smelled smoke in the cockpit and diverted the plane to Louisville, Kentucky where the pilot landed safely.
The former president eventually made it back to Texas.
There was no immediate word on what caused the odor of smoke.
