PIFA Announces 'Time Machine' Theme For 2013

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Dates and a theme have been announced for the next Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts.
Ed Cambron, executive director of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, says next year's PIFA Festival will take place March 28th through April 27th.
"The theme of the festival is, 'If You Had A Time Machine...' and we're working with arts organizations across the city to explore those moments."
Cambron says the Kimmel Center is the hub of activity throughout the festival. Last time, they constructed an Eiffel Tower in the lobby to go along with their Paris theme. This time, he says they'll be building a time machine in the lobby. He says PIFA is becoming an important arts festival for the city.
"In April of 2011, we had an over $56 million impact on the city of Philadelphia. Over $4 million in tax revenue and it was a wonderful way that the arts community showed their value to the region in a real tangible way with the economy."
