PHL Cheering Up Weary Travelers With Valentine's Day Treats

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – If you're traveling out of Philadelphia International Airport on Friday, you're in for a few Valentine's Day treats.

First, airport staff and volunteers will be handing out red and pink carnations to travelers passing through between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Then, later this afternoon, a caricaturist will be drawing visitors' pictures and local soul singer Jessy Kyle will be playing "love songs" live in the food court.

"It's a nice way to welcome travelers to Philadelphia," says Ken Uller, who has been a volunteer at the airport for more than 13 years.

And the Valentine's Day tidings aren't just for travelers; visitors to the airport can also send a virtual hug to a serviceperson between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Philadelphia's airport was recently ranked one of the happiest in the country.
