PhillyFIT Bash And Fitness Expo Sunday In Chalfont
CHALFONT, Pa. (CBS) - The 11th annual PhillyFIT Bash and Fitness Expo is this weekend in Bucks County and it's expected to draw dozens of local businesses and nearly 2,000 people.
As the fitness trend continues to grow over the years, so does the Philly Fit Bash which continues to attract more people interested in learning what types of activities they can get involved with. The bash is for everyone from kids to seniors and features all kinds of demonstrations from massage therapy, pilates and yoga to healthy cooking and health screenings.
Jami Appenzeller is the publisher of PhillyFIT magazine:
"So we started turning the bash into something where people could touch and feel and see and try a little bit of everything out there in health and fitness and maybe they'll go home having found something that intrigued them and they'll go join."
She says it's for people who want to get healthy and fit, not just for the fitness buff. It will be held Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Philadelphia Sports Club in Chalfont. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to local charities.
