CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) –- A Philadelphia-area native and a member of the Philadelphia Union coaching staff sits down this week with the KYW Philly Soccer Show.
Assistant coach and Oreland, Pa. native Jim Curtin talks with KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch as the Union comes out of the All-Star break.
The team earned a tough road victory last Saturday in Vancouver against the Whitecaps (see game story). Curtin breaks down some of the tactics of the team and talks about some of the younger players who could be set to make a contribution as the Union gets ready for a playoff push.
Curtin also alludes to a possible new player coming into the fold.
We then look ahead to Saturday and the Union's match against Chicago at PPL Park. This is a new-look Fire team from the one the Union defeated twice in two weeks, 1-0 each time, earlier this year (game story 1) (game story 2).
Chicago native Mike Magee, coming over from the LA Galaxy in the historic trade that sent Robbie Rogers to LA, has been putting together an MVP year. It will be a tough test for the Union this weekend.
