Philly Soccer Show: Super Draft Returns To Philly; New Deal For Edu?
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The MLS Super Draft is in Philadelphia for the second straight year, and the KYW Philly Soccer Show gets you ready for it. KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch are joined by Sean Doyle, social media director for the Union's USL/PDL affiliate Reading (Pa) United. Sean brings his wide knowledge of both player development and the college game to preview the draft. Reading has several players in this year's draft, and Sean gives us the background on all of them.
Then Philly Soccer Page writer Adam Cann joins in the discussion. We talk about reports that midfielder Maurice Edu has a new deal with the Union after his loan from Stoke City of the English Premier League was made permanent. We also look at the year long loan of Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath to the Colorado Rapids.
