Philly Soccer Show: New Union Acquisition Freddy Adu
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The newest member of the Philadelphia Union is our guest on the KYW Philly Soccer Show. Midfielder/forward Freddy Adu joins KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page Writer Eli Pearlman-Storch. Freddy joined MLS as a 14-year-old in 2004, winning an MLS Cup with Union Coach Peter Nowak. Now, he returns to the league after spending the last 4 seasons playing for teams in Portugal, Greece and Turkey.
In part one, Freddy talks about returning to the states and what he hopes to achieve while playing for the Union.

In part two, Eli and Greg look back at the FC Dallas game and ahead to the away match versus Columbus Crew. Another tough draw for the Union against Dallas, despite Freddy Adu's debut. Sebastian Le Toux scored two penalty kicks to make sure the Union got at least one point from the match. Next, Philly face off against the team they are fighting for first place with, a resurgent Columbus.

Part three and the focus shifts to the US Men's National team. The Jurgen Klinsmann era began with a 1-1 draw versus rival Mexico. New coach Klinsmann brought new in a lot of new faces for the match, casting a wider net for the national team player pool.
