Philly Soccer Show: Hometown Hero Zach Pfeffer
By Greg Orlandini
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) -- He's the hero of the Philadelphia Union's latest win and he is the guest on the KYW Philly Soccer Show. Midfielder Zach Pfeffer talks with KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page writer Eli Pearlman-Storch about his game winning goal he scored late in the Union's 1-0 win Sunday over DC United at PPL Park. Pfeffer also talks about the disappointment of being left off the U.S. National Team U-20 squad for the up coming U-20 World Cup.
We then talk with Eric Giacometti of mlsssoccer.com. He covers the New York Red Bulls, the Union's next opponent. They are coming off a 0-0 draw against FC Dallas. The Red Bulls had some high profile departures last year in Tim Cahill and Thierry Henry but Giacometti says the team has bounced back from that and is one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.
