Philly Soccer Show: Alejandro Bedoya Discusses Adjusting To His New Team
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- He played in Scotland and France, has feature prominently for the US National Team, and he is now one of the biggest signings for the Philadelphia Union. Midfielder Alejandro Bedoya is the guest on the KYW Philly Soccer Show.
The New Jersey-native talks with KYW's Greg Orlandini and Philly Soccer Page's Mike Servedio about making his debut last Saturday with the team. He was a key part of the team's 4-0 win over New England Revolution at Foxboro, slotting into the midfield spot once held by the departed Vincent Nogueira.
He talks about the adjustment to the his new team and new league, having never played in MLS before. He also talks about the process involved in bringing him to Philadelphia, a process that took more than a year.
We look ahead to the weekend as the Union host the star-studded Toronto FC. It is a big test for the team as they try to make the climb back up the standings in the Eastern Conference and solidify a playoff berth.
