Philly Rock Band 'The Hooters' Honored at Pennsylvania State Capitol

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- The Pennsylvania capitol was rocked today, but not by another corruption scandal.
They've played at Live Aid, and today the legendary Philadelphia band The Hooters took over the state capitol's east wing rotunda for a noontime mini-concert.
"Our lives are now complete -- we have rocked the rotunda!" said band member Eric Bazilian, in response to a reporter's comment. Bazilian and fellow bandmates, including singer and keyboardist Rob Hyman, certainly did that for dozens of enthusiastic capitol staffers and visitors.

"Philly, Harrisburg -- Pennsylvania is our roots, obviously," Hyman told KYW Newsradio this afternoon. "New Jersey, the Delaware Valley, the tri-state area. You know, this is our home. We've been here forever. We never moved. Didn't go to Nashville, didn't go to New York, didn't go to LA. We stayed in PA."
The Hooters were the guests of suburban state senator Daylin Leach, who sponsored a resolution honoring them for their more than three decades of success.
