Philly Restaurants Offer Dinner And A Show For NYE
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Many Philadelphia restaurants and bars are offering New Year's Eve packages with a free show -- a spectacular view of the city's fireworks display.
The newly christened Philadelphia Belle river boat will have two cruises on New Year's Eve to correspond with the two fireworks displays at Penns Landing.
Ryan O'Connor is the director of sales for the Philadelphia Belle.
"We have an earlier family friendly cruise," she said. "It's from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and we do have a more traditional midnight cruise form 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m."
The second cruise includes a four course dinner and premium open bar for $180 a ticket.
And high up in the sky, on the 37th floor at the R2L Restaurant at Two Liberty Place in Center City is having a Prohibition Era themed party modeled after HBO's "Boardwalk Empire". Tickets are $150 and include food and open bar and view of the fireworks.
Chris DiGennaro is the general manager.
"Boardwalk entertainment also we'll have jugglers, magicians, sword swallowers, a photo booth." He says 1930s attire is optional.
