Philly Native Pops The Question To Longtime Girlfriend At Thanksgiving Day Parade
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Mother Nature cooperated with Philadelphia and the weather was perfect for the 96th annual Thanksgiving Day parade.
Thousands lined the Parkway for the marching bands, floats and performers.
Fishtown native John Dooley took advantage of the beautiful day, popping the question to his longtime girlfriend Amy McCord.
She said yes.
"Very excited, shocked, nervous, happy and very grateful. A great day." Amy said after the proposal.
John added, "Thanksgiving we're all eating together to celebrate what we're most thankful for, and celebrate our engagement."
