Philly To Host Four Storied Programs For Men's East Regional

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The NCAA Tournament is coming to Philadelphia.

Four storied universities will compete at the Wells Fargo Center this coming weekend for the 2016 Men's East Regional, with the winner advancing to the Final Four in Houston, Texas on Saturday, April 2nd.

Philadelphia Mayor Kenney will rename Broad Street the "Road to the Championship" on Wednesday.

Regional Semifinals

Friday, March 25th: No. 7 Wisconsin vs. No. 6 Notre Dame at 7:27 p.m.

Friday, March 25th: No. 5 Indiana vs. No. 1 North Carolina at 9:57 p.m.

The winners will play on Sunday evening in the East regional final.

The event is estimated to generate approximately 10,000 hotel room nights and $18.2 million in economic revenue for the city, according to the Philadelphia Sports Congress.

This marks Philadelphia's 28th NCAA Tournament since 1939, the second most of any city. The Wells Fargo Center last hosted a regional round in 2001.
