Gunman Opens Fire On 3 People Hanging Christmas Lights In Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—Philadelphia police are investigating after a gunman opens fire on three residents hanging Christmas lights on Wednesday night.
It happened around 10:46 p.m. in the 4000 block of Howland Street.
According to police, a dark gray Chevy Impala, with tinted windows, was driving down Howland Street when a confrontation ensued with multiple residents hanging holiday decorations.
The vehicle in question drove 30 to 40 feet past the victims, then slowed down, stopped, and backed up to where the victims were standing and asked "if they had a problem and if they had hit his car."
Following further confrontation, police say one of the suspects opened fire on the residents, injuring three people.
A 28-year-old man, a 36-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were all transported for their gunshot wounds. They are currently listed in stable condition.
Police describe one of suspects as a black man in his 20s, with a light gray knitted cap, brown complexion, armed with a dark gray semi-auto handgun.
The second suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, darker complexion, shoulder length hair, possibly dreadlocks.
