Phillies Voted Philadelphia's Favorite Team By A Narrow Margin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With the Eagles set to begin their first training camp under Chip Kelly today, and the anticipation for Eagles football higher than ever, the Audio Roadshow question on the WIP Morning Show this morning was: "Which is your favorite sports team?" The choices were simply, the four major sports teams in Philadelphia (Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, Flyers).
Philadelphia is without a doubt a four-for-four sports town, and while this question may be hard to answer for many (personally, I can't pick one), you would think the Eagles would dominate this poll on the morning of the first day of Eagles training camp, right? Wrong.
Surprisingly, the Phillies won the poll tallying a majority 39% of the vote. The Eagles were a close second at 36%, the Flyers were a respectable third at 24%, and the Sixers, well the Sixers came in last with a sad 1% of the vote.
