Phillies Team Up With Waste Management To Launch Recycling Program
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies and Waste Management are giving their fans and fans of the environment a chance to recycle their old electronics.
They will host the first ever "Red Goes Green" eCycle Event on Saturday, June 25.
It is a chance to make sure that used electronics don't sit in a landfill and the glass, metals and plastics they contain are reused.
From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, fans are invited to bring their used electronics, up to two items per person, to Lot S of Citizens Bank Park, and have them recycled, free of charge.
The first 200 participants will receive an autographed photo card from Phillies pitcher Ryan Madson. Phillies Ballgirls will also be in attendance. Participants will receive a 10 percent discount to the Majestic Clubhouse Store that day.
