Phillies Release Infielder Cedeno
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Phillies have released utility infielder Ronny Cedeno, the team announced Tuesday.
Cedeno figured to be more valuable to the team given the recent situation with Freddy Galvis. Galvis was diagnosed with a staph infection, and figures to start the season on the disabled list.
Kevin Frandsen was outrighted earlier this week, and has yet accept that assignment. Frandsen is not an option at shortstop, even if he was with the team.
