Phillies Re-Sign Frandsen, Tender Deals To Mayberry, Revere, Bastardo, Kendrick
PHILADELPHIA (AP/CBS) — Utilityman Kevin Frandsen and the Philadelphia Phillies agreed to a one-year, $900,000 contract Monday night, avoiding arbitration.
Frandsen made a base salary of $850,000 last year and earned another $50,000 for reaching 250 plate appearances.
The 31-year-old Frandsen played first, second and third base for the Phillies last year. In 119 games, he batted .234 with five homers and 26 RBIs.
The Phillies also tendered contracts to Jon Mayberry, Ben Revere, Antonio Bastardo and Kyle Kendrick.
