Phillies Part Ways With Pitching Coach Rich Dubee
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies have decided not to renew the contract of pitching coach Rich Dubee, the team announced Monday.
"Rich was a big part of a wonderful era here and in his nine years he served our organization very well," Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro said in a release. "We believe it is time for change as we move forward. We thank Rich for his professionalism and contribution to the Phillies."
Dubee was pitching coach of the Phillies for nine years, which ties him for most ever in that position with the organization.
New Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg is currently assembling his coaching staff.
