Jonathan Pettibone will be on the mound in this series opener. The right-hander will be making his second start of the season. he got a no decision in his first last weekend against Miami, allowing two runs (one earned) in five innings of work.
This will be Pettibone's second career start against the Rockies. The other came last year, also in Denver, and it did not go well. He allowed seven runs (six earned) in just three innings of work, losing 10-5. The winning pitcher in that game was RHP Tyler Chatwood, and he will be on the mound for the Rockies in this series opener.
