Phillies Open Series With Miami Tonight At CBP

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies continue their nine-game homestand tonight as they welcome the Miami Marlins to South Philadelphia for the opener of a three-game series.
The Phillies are 22-16 on the season and coming off a weekend which saw them take two out of three from the Cincinnati Reds. The Phils are in second-place in the National League East, they come into tonight's game just a game behind the first-place Washington Nationals.
Right-hander Jerad Eickhoff will get the start for the Phillies on the mound. He is 1-5 this season with a 4.43 ERA. Last time out he struggled in Atlanta, allowing four runs (three earned) in 4 1/3 in a 5-1 loss to the Braves. He has not faced the Marlins this year. He made one start against them last season, pitching six shutout innings and earning a win.
The Marlins will counter on the mound with left-hander Adam Conley. He is 2-2 with a 3.72 ERA. He lost his last start to the Brewers, allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings of work. he has not faced the Phillies this season, but made three starts against them last year, going 0-1 with a 2.00 ERA.

The Phillies and Marlins met earlier this month in Florida. The Phils took two out of three in that series.
