Phillies Launch Annual Paint The Town Red Week

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - As the Phillies play out their Spring Training schedule, the front office is ramping up its pre-season push for ticket sales.
You'll be seeing a lot of red around town over the next seven or eight days.
The Phillies have launched their annual Paint the Town Red Week with a 5k run and walk and that's just the beginning.
Michael Harris says other events include a Pup Rally at Schuylkill River Park, a college trolley tour and a Phillie Phanatic dance party at the Please Touch Museum.
"We started Paint the Town Red in 2006 and it has slowly and incrementally built up a lot of interest and awareness from our fans and our sponsors and our players. The turnout each year is more than we could ever imagine," says Harris. "It's wonderful to engage our fans, build anticipation for the upcoming baseball season and have a lot of fund along the way."
By the way, the Phanatic will be ditching his familiar green costume for a more tasteful red.
The events lead up to next weekend's on-deck series in which the Phils close out their exhibition with a pair of games against Toronto at Citizens Bank Park.
