Phillies Host Clinic at Ballpark For Women Fans, Benefiting Charity

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Women from around the Delaware Valley got their chance today to work with some Phillies coaches as the team hosted its annual "Baseball 101" clinic for female fans.
The women each paid $200 to attend the all-day event at Citizens Bank Park, for the benefit of charity.
"At second base, I'm letting you know how many outs we got," explained Phillies' third base coach Juan Samuel to one group. "We're looking at the outfielders. You belong to me -- once at second base, it's my responsibility."
As for the complicated signal system he uses for players, well...that's classified.
Samuel says he saw a lot of potential out on the field today.
"I have a great time doing this, letting them know some of the things we do that they really don't see," he said.
Colleen Haas, from Hammonton, NJ, learned some things -- including what she needs to work on herself.
"All that sign stuff, that's confusing," she said. "And I can't hit a ball off the tee."
But Colleen's friend Jessica said her favorite part of the day was hitting the ball off the tee.
